However, inside the lotus, there are many other forms, like the full lotus or Padmasana in Sanskrit, which is one of the stable positions and places a foot on each thigh.

Corpse Position

This is also known as Savasana. A Yoga Journal has declared that this is one of the best positions to ensure complete relaxation and mental peace.

However, there are specific steps to follow this pose appropriately. Like;

  1. It begins with a sitting position where the knee and feet are bent on the floor.
  2. A pelvis is lifted from the floor in the next step, and using hands to push the pelvis towards the tailbone before it rests on the floor again.
  3. While breathing in the next step, you are advised to push heels to stretch out both legs. You are advised to allow your groin to relax to ensure your feet are angled from the spine.
  4. In the next step, you should relax your torso and tailbone and place your hands behind the head so they can lie down with your spine.
  5. In the final step, you are supposed to lay your head down and stay up in the position for up to 5 minutes.
  6. Performing the position with proper steps can give you relief and peace of mind. 

Standing Forward Bend

This yoga exercise is best for those who are flexible and don’t feel standing is an exhausting task.

Yoga Journal declares forward bending can be started by standing straight with the feet parallel to the hips. You are advised to keep your back straight and bend from the hips until the stretching of hamstring muscles. 

Similarly, if you are flexible, you are advised to place your palms on the floor on any side of the feet and cross arms with each hand on the opposite below.

Then on each exhalation, you are suggested to allow your body to relax deeper while stretching.

After that, with each breath, you can get peace of mind.

Mental Peace and Sleep

Lack of sleep or irregularity in the normal sleep rhythm can bring specific health issues like weak immune response, burnout feel, and more disruption from mental peace.

Typically, adults need 6 to 7 hours of sleep for good health and well-being, and surprisingly, only 30% of individuals fulfill these needs.

So, more need has emerged for such therapies that could give you good mental peace and better sleep rhythm.
